Re-Use your Glass Drink Bottles... good for the environment, good for you!

Today, billions of PET bottles litter landfills, and public places. These containers were once filled with water. Today, billions of people purchase a single serving of water, and discard the plastic bottle once they have consumed the water. It is a huge burden for the environment to absorb. If you haven't heard of the "Garbage Patch" in the pacific, you can find out where some of those plastic water bottles end up. READ ABOUT THE GREAT PACIFIC GARBAGE PATCH. For the last 50-odd years, every piece of plastic that has made it from our shores to the Pacific Ocean has been breaking down and accumulating in the central Pacific gyre. Oceanographers like Curtis Ebbesmeyer, the world's leading flotsam expert, refer to it as the great Pacific Garbage Patch. The problem is that it is not a patch, it's the size of a continent, and it's filling up with floating plastic waste. Research has documented 6 pounds of plastic for every pound of plankton in this area. The only solution, and the best one for all reasons, is to re-use your glass containers. They can be sterilized and used indefinitely. While glass can break, of course, most people who use glass bottles develop a different behavior toward their water.

Bottles in this group came from commercially sold beverages and are, from left to right, Honest Tea, Synergy Kombucha, Tau Water, Voss Water, Tau again, Voss again, generic fruit drinks, Tazo Tea. All blessing and attraction labels are from The Spirit of Water. My personal favorite is the Voss bottle, in both sizes. It is elegant, strong, and I have used them continually for 4 years. But I also love the Tazo Tea bottle because of the narrow hand grip and the mystic symbols around the neck and bottom.

All these bottles pictured are from my personal collection. I use them interchangeably depending on my mood and what I want to "attract" that day! It is amazing to me how my intuition picks the right bottles for the day. I never question what attracts my attention when I make a selection. Sometimes is the message on the bottle, and other times it is the shape or size that feel right. But later in the day, I usually find out why... something occurs that reinforces the energy field that was created using that particular bottle and its theme.

 
 


When you purchase and consume a bottled beverage, start to consider other uses for that bottle. Soak the label off, or use "Goof Off," "Goo Gone," or "Citrus-Solve," to remove the sticky glue. Once the label and glue are gone, run the bottle through your diswasher or wash by hand in the hottest water available. Wash the lids, too. Then begin with a new "canvas" for your water blessings.

Water Blessing Labels and Attraction Labels can be used on just about any surface that is smooth and glossy. Be creative. Make phrases. Use a combination of symbols and words. Create "elixir" bottles of thoughts and blessings. Whatever goes inside that container carries your deep wishes and prayers.
