The word means, “wheel” in Sanskrit and the wheels refer to energy vortices in and around the body that have been described, through time, as points of light or rapidly spinning flowers of electrical energy. Surrounding every physical body there is an etheric field (meaning a radiating layer of gasses, magnetism and electricity) that regulates energy entering or exiting the body in excessive quantity. Ancient yogis and mystics have identified the seven main portals of energy on the physical body as they correspond to organs, tissue and bones; however, it is believed there are as many as 144 entry and exit points on the human body. The chakra energies relate to specific functions within the body. The chakra energies nourish life in each person. When too much energy is allowed into a specific portal or not enough, the physical body becomes unbalanced and can experience symptoms of illness, disease, emotional challenges, or psychological disturbances.

Chakras are not conscribed to any one religion.
Chakras have been referenced by other names in many religious doctrines, including Christianity, Hinduism, Sufism, Judaism, Taoism, and Buddhism. One of the most sacred depictions of pure chakra energy shown in primitive artwork, is the halo shown on angelic beings, Christ figures, psychics, mystics, avatars and other religious icons.

The Chakra System
Each chakra center, from the root, at the base of the spine, to the crown, above the head, works together with the others as a well-managed system, and keeps the autonomic nervous system functioning and controlling life in the body, mind, and spirit of each individual. When all chakras are spinning in unison and at maximum velocity, the energy can sometimes be seen as an illumination or a glow at the crown of the head. A fully developed human being becomes open to a broader perspective of life, often called higher consciousness. Because of the glow about the head and the demonstration of higher consciousness, this iis likely why ancient cultures developed concepts of divinity toward those who shared their wisdom. However, it is generally unacknowledged that all human beings, when fully actualized through the chakras, can, indeed, experience extra abilities, wisdom and universal consciousness.

Awakened Consciousness
Many avatars through the ages have alluded to our abilities as being greater than what most of us have ever considered. Early beliefs about “awakened” human beings lead to the idea that those individuals were extraordinary and to be revered and worshipped; while, in fact, those beings who were living with all chakras open and spinning at optimum velocity, were exemplifying the highest levels of human potential.

Ancient yogis developed meditative and physical paths to keep all chakra centers balanced and open so the body, mind, and spirit of the individual can remain healthy and awakened. Chakra Sound Blessings
The chakras each have a characteristic vibration that emits a powerful sound frequency. Many ancient masters studied the sounds and found music note coordinates for each chakra. In using the note to enhance the strength of each chakra, take into consideration the note and many microtones between the chakras all help enhance the velocity of the chakra. Using only one note per chakra session is like applying a bandage. It only affects a minor part of the entire vibrational system. Therefore, use the main note, but use harmonic sounds and sliding sound patterns to enliven the chakra and the space between it, and its nearest other energy centers. Vocal sounds are best.
