THE NON-LINEAR FLOW OF CONSCIOUSNESS
We cannot talk of water flowing without conjuring in our minds the scientific process of water moving from one place to another. We tend to define what we see with some understanding of that scientifc reality. And yet there is so much more to the reality of moving water than what our linear thinking can recognize immediately. It is true that water flows in recognizable patterns, predictable patterns. And yet, water moves in many other ways, too.
The idea of non-linear thinking is unfamiliar to many people because we have been conditioned in our modern culture to define our world by naming what we can see using common language derived from a scientific observation to form an understanding. One step follows the other. This is linear thinking. But we can also get out of the hamster cage and use our imaginations to reach for new ideas, new visions, new possibilities.
Can you get beyond identifying water as "wet?" Beyond wet, can you look at a drop of water and see it for all its other dimensions? This is what your life is all about. As many dimensions as you could perceive in a drop of water, you can trust that there are limitless posibilities for your life, too.
Water is wet, but it is also a universe unto itself. It is a womb, a farm, a micro-climate, a place where life begins and ends, and it is an archive of all consciousness from the beginning of time to the end of time. Water, the substance, is filled with other realities and dimensions we, as humans have not even begun to understand. Water is pure creation. Water invents itself in a billion ways, a billion times per second. Since we are 85% water, can humans do the same? Everything is possible. Does this seemed far-fetched? Are you seeing a reality that is limited by your pre-conceived ideas? If you want to know everything there is to know about water and about life, you can go to a library. If you are ready to accept that you don't know anything at all about water or about living, you will soon learn all the secrets of the universe.
Most people understand that water hydrates many life forms on our planet. We observe that when water is introduced to a dry seed, the seed begins to thrive and a new microcosm is created. We think we know that water nourished the seed and gave it life. But actually, the life was already in the seed and in the water. They met and agreed to share creation. What was in the water that caused an entire universe to reveal itself through the seed? What was in the seed? The consciousness of life cannot be detected by scientifically monitored experiments through powerful microscopes, and yet, there is growing evidence that water is consciousness and has allowed millions of dormant organisms to awaken to the fullest potential of their form. The interesting concept to remember is that there is a partnership agreement between the water and the dormant organism. When they react to each other, they engender the concept of memory -- memory for growth, or memory for death.
Some things, when exposed to water begin to degrade. Water dissolves many solids, and decays others. So water gives life and ends life. It is the beginning of time and the end of time. Water has the consciousness to transform whatever it comes into contact with.
A drop of water has the ability to change the universe. Many people think a drop is meaningless in the order of magnitude. But one drop can provide a year's supply of nutrient to a cell. One drop of water released from the human eye has the ability to carry a lifetime of sadness out of the body and to change and heal the human spirit. That one drop of water is medicine or a meal. And one drop of water can change the consciousness of all beings depending upon the consciousness from which we observe the drop. If I believe that one drop of water can carry my wishes, that belief alone unlocks the billions of potentials and allows me to pick the combination I desire. Is this a miracle? Or is it non-linear reality?
Miracles are simply occurrences for which the human mind has not been able to categorize, define or understand.
I look deeply into tiny drops of water and I see beyond "wet". I see the everything and the nothing. What can I do with this? Embrace it. Transform one drop into medicine for the world and another drop into nourishment to quench the thirst of 6 billion people, another drop to carry the concept of oneness to all beings, and finally, another drop to replenish the spirit of those who have forgotten they are limitless beings with limitless possibilities, beyond linear thought.
Can a prayer released into water change the way my body responds to life? Can water teach me to expect nothing and be ready to receive everything? It isn't hard to see that water is limitless energy. It is the carrier of prayers, the medicine to heal the sick, the food to feed the hungry, the fluid to wash away the soil, the nourishment to strengthen our cells, the carrier of messages deep into the minutae of consciousness and the well of remembrance of all that has ever been and will ever be.
